Seller Guidelines

Rules that protect everyone

These guidelines ensure a fair, safe, and high-quality experience for all customers and sellers on Teazovo. Violations will result in warnings, penalties, or account suspension.

Product Quality Standards

Non-negotiable
  • All food items must be freshly prepared — no reheated or leftover food.

  • Grocery items must be within their expiry date. Expired stock will result in account suspension.

  • Products must match their listing photos and descriptions exactly.

  • Packaging must be clean, tamper-proof, and food-safe.

  • Weight / quantity must match what the customer ordered — short-filling is penalised.

Delivery Time Rules

Critical
  • Prepare orders within 10–15 minutes after confirmation.

  • Full delivery to customer must complete within 30–45 minutes.

  • Orders delayed beyond 60 minutes without notification will receive an automatic refund.

  • Mark orders as 'Ready for Pickup' on your dashboard as soon as they are packed.

  • Do not accept new orders if you cannot fulfil them on time — use the 'Pause Store' feature.

Cancellation & Penalty Policy

Important
  • Cancelling more than 3% of accepted orders in 30 days results in a temporary suspension.

  • Cancelling an order after the rider has reached your store = ₹50 penalty per incident.

  • Wrong/incomplete orders that trigger re-delivery cost the seller the re-delivery fee.

  • Repeated wrong orders (>5 in 30 days) will trigger a compliance review.

  • Customer-initiated cancellations within 2 minutes of placing are not counted against you.

Commission & Payouts

Transparent
  • Local Shop Owners: 0% commission — you keep 100% of your selling price.

  • Brand Sellers: 3% per order, deducted from settlement.

  • Wholesalers / Distributors: 5% per order, deducted from settlement.

  • A 3% payment gateway + transfer fee applies to all sellers on the final payout.

  • Settlements are processed within T+1 business days to your registered bank account.

  • Misrepresenting your seller type to avoid commission will result in immediate suspension.

Packaging Rules

Mandatory
  • Use sealed, tamper-evident packaging for all food and grocery items.

  • Liquid items must be spill-proof — double-bag if necessary.

  • Hot and cold items must be packed separately.

  • Fragile items must include cushioning. Damage due to poor packaging is seller's liability.

  • Label each item clearly with product name and quantity.

  • Avoid single-use non-recyclable plastics; biodegradable packaging earns a 'Green Seller' badge.

Seller Conduct

Code of Ethics
  • Treat all customers with respect. Disputes must be raised via the dashboard, not directly.

  • Do not contact customers outside of Teazovo's platform for personal transactions.

  • Price manipulation, fake listings, or review fraud will result in permanent ban.

  • Do not sell restricted, counterfeit, or illegal products on the platform.

  • Maintain a rating of 3.5★ or above. Accounts below 3★ for 30+ days may be suspended.
